Homemade nutty Granola 

- 3 cups of oats 
- 3 Tbs of honey 
- 3 Tbs of coconut oil (not melted)
- 1/2 cup of flaked almonds 
- 1/2 cup of whole almonds chopped
- 1/4 cup of sesame seeds
-1/4 cup of sunflower seeds

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees
  2. Chop up the whole almonds and measure out the rest of the dry ingredients 
  3. Add the dry ingredients to a large mixing  bowl (oats, nuts , seeds )
  4. In another bowl add the honey and coconut oil
  5. Mash together with a fork 
  6. When the coconut oil and honey come as one , add it to the dry ingredient bowl 
  7. With your hands mix it all together , make sure the coconut oil and the honey mixture it mixed thoroughly with the dry ingredients 
  8. Place in a large baking tray 
  9. Place in the oven for around 30-40 minutes. Check on it regularly and mix it around with a spatula to avoid burning on the top .
  10. Once cooked it should be a golden brown leave it to cool before placing it into an air tight container
  11. My granola usually lasts about 2 weeks but its so delicious its mostly gone before then :) 
 * its optional to leave out the nuts and place in some shredded coconut, you can also add in some dried fruit and pumpkin seeds 

I enjoy my granola in the morning with some greek yogurt, flaxseed and chia seed :)
